首先提出了在传统多分辨模板匹配中存在的问题,即基于灰度空间的传统算法面临着复杂的计算和补偿问题,然后引入一种基于小波变换的多分辨模板匹配算法,并且从统计分析和实验两方面进行了比较分析,发现新算法有效地克服了背景因素对匹配的影响,具有较高的匹配准确性,而且计算简明.

In the conventional hierarchical template matching, there exists a typical problem of sophisticated calculation and correction. In this paper a new multiresolution template matching algorithm based on wavelet transform has been studied. According to the numerical and experimental comparison, it is showed that the new algorithm has eliminated the background intensity effect to the template matching, and it has the advantage of easy to calculate and parallel process.
